Replacement Filters for the Dri-Eaz HEPA 700 Air Scrubber

The Dri-Eaz 700 is featured in my full review of the best air purifiers.

Here are the filters and below is how to use them best.

The Skinny:

You have 4 inches of space inside. You can choose any combination of filter widths up to that to make up the 4″.

Nice system.

The HEPA is 2″ wide. Then you can add:

  • one 2-in. MERV 8 Pre-Filter …or…
  • two 1-in. filters (the carbon is 1″ and the MERV 8 Pre-Filter is 1″)

If you use the carbon filter, it goes in first. Then HEPA then the prefilter.

What does a new 700 come with?
  • 2-in. Primary HEPA Filter
  • 2-in. MERV 8 Pre-Filter
When to change?

The digital readout has light yellow when it’s time to change the HEPA … and you just change the prefilter every when it looks soiled.

It’s obvious according to the support team I talked to at the maker, Legends Brands.

Tip:

I spoke to one of the techs at the plant where these are made (USA!). For typical use, change the carbon filter with every THIRD prefilter. Save money by saving your carbon.
